GFDD Ventures

Launched in 2006, GFDD Ventures is a program aimed to develop ad hoc teams inside the company that would brainstorm ideas for new innovative products that could be developed internally. Since then, we have been working on many ideas to create interesting new projects in many fields: Business Collaboration Tools, Servers Management, Social Networks, Tourism, Gastronomy, Public Transport, Finances and e-commerce.
No product was launched outside our company yet, but we look forward to start playing in the real world during 2009 and 2010 :)

GFDD Group is currently integrated by three services areas that grow and are managed independently but work very closely together on every project the the Group handles. These main areas are:

  • Development
  • Marketing
They provide services not only to our external clients but also to our internal products development wing:
  • GFDD Ventures
Our structure is completed by our HR area which is key in putting together the best possible team for each project.

A big congrats to Messenger Plus! for its 50 million users!

Everyone at GFDD would like to congratulate Messenger Plus! for its 50 million active users milestone! We have been working with Plus! as a client since late 2002 and have been present on every update to the GUI and website since then, so we are proud to see that its growth has never slowed down. Today we launched a small update on msgpluslive.net to celebrate this record and we thought it was a nice occasion to update our newborn blog where, by the way, you’ll see more activity in hopefully not too long!

Welcome!

Hi everybody and welcome to our first post in the brand-new GFDD Blog! This space will over time become the place where the humble minds at GFDD (and their bodies, because we have bodies and faces and lives and all) showcase their thoughts and views on various subjects for colleagues, clients and friends to spark a discussion from them.

Although the subjects will be always be evolving, we plan to cover topics like branding, design, marketing, development, business and the crazy Web 2.0 frenzy, from the perspective given by our daily work for clients and our own products. So go ahead, subscribe, and you’ll have no need to remember the blog.gfddgroup.com URL.

Oh, one more thing: You’ll notice this blog will have Spanish language articles as well: we plan to offer different content covering the subjects that are most interesting to each audience and avoid doing direct translations unless for specific articles. Therefore, if you are of those bilingual types, feel free to subscribe to the global RSS feed instead of the English-specific one.
